Επιστολή 290 Ιταλών, Γάλλων και άλλων εθνικοτήτων τουριστών προς τον Πρωθυπουργό, για το θέμα των ιχθυοκαλλιεργειών στην ζώνη Α3.

Διακόσιοι ενενήντα αλλοδαποί, Ιταλοί, Γάλλοι και άλλες εθνικότητες έστειλαν επιστολή στα Ιταλικά και στα Αγγλικά, προς τον Πρωθυπουργό Αντώνη Σαμαρά, με την οποία εκφράζουν την πλήρη αντίθεση τους στη δημιουργία ιχθυοκαλλιεργητικού πάρκου στην προβλεπόμενη από το χωροταξικό ζώνη Α3. Επίσης μας έστειλαν στο blog μας τα ονόματα τους, την εθνικότητα τους καθώς και τα e-mail τους, όσοι διαθέτουν, τα οποία και τα αναρτούμε. Σύντομα φίλος του blog θα το μεταφράσει στα Ελληνικά και θα το αναρτήσουμε αμέσως. Η συγκεκριμένη επιστολή δημοσιεύτηκε στα Ιταλικά πρακτορεία ειδήσεων ΑΝSΑ, ASCA και AGI.

Lettera-appello di turisti italiani, francesi e altre nazionalità

al Presidente del Governo greco, Antonis Samaras

“NO ALLE FISH-FARM A MYTIKAS E NELLE ISOLE IONICHE

DI KALAMOS, KASTOS, MEGANISI E LEFKADA”

Stimato Presidente Samaras,

siamo un folto gruppo di turisti italiani, francesi e di altre nazionalità europee che ama la Grecia, che frequenta da anni, in particolar modo, la zona di Lefkada, Meganisi, Kalamos, Kastos e Miytikas. Alcuni di noi hanno addirittura comprato delle case, alcune delle quali poi completamente restaurate e riportate alla bellezza di un tempo.

La zona è talmente affascinante, unica, con un mare che non esiste più in nessuna parte di Europa, che ci è sembrata francamente incredibile venire a sapere che proprio in questi luoghi immacolati si sia pensato di inserire in mare “fish-farm”.

La preoccupazione non è solo nostra ma anche della gente che storicamente abita questi luoghi: pescatori, contadini, residenti a vario titolo in queste isole. Non riusciamo proprio a capire come si possano distruggere luoghi deputati al turismo in pieno sviluppo quest’anno con iniziative del genere.

Noi non siamo contrari alle “fish-farm”. Nei nostri paesi di origine ne abbiamo tante, ma quello che ci sembra incredibile è che le si vogliano inserire proprio in luoghi come questi.

La Grecia ha centinaia di chilometri di coste assolutamente inabitate e non turistiche. Perché non pensare di inserirle in questi luoghi?

Caro Presidente, possiamo farLe un esempio?

E’ come se volessimo inserire “fish-farm” davanti all’isola italiana di Capri o davanti alle spiagge francesi della Costa Azzurra. Purtroppo esempi negativi ci sono anche da noi: in Italia, ad Orbetello in Toscana di fronte al Promontorio dell’Argentario, si è fatta una enorme “fish-farm” che da anni sta inquinando la laguna con odori disgustosi, invasione di zanzare e proliferazione di alghe.

Molti di noi, se questa iniziativa dovesse continuare, potrebbero decidere di non passare più le vacanze in quelle zone (alcuni frequentano questo mare da oltre 20 anni) e di vendere gli immobili con grande rammarico e rabbia.

Le possiamo chiedere di ripensare a queste scelte che non ci sembrano vadano nel senso di uno sviluppo della nostra cara e amata Grecia?

Letter of foreign tourists to Antonis Samaras

"NO FISH FARM in MYTIKAS and in the Ionian Islands:

KALAMOS, KASTOS, MEGANISI and LEFKADAS "

Dear President,

we are a large group of Italian, French and other tourists of different European nationalities, who love very much Greece. We are people who attend this beautiful country since years, especially in the area of Lefkada, Meganisi, Kalamos, Kastos and Mytikas. Some of us have also bought some houses, and, some of these have been also completely renovated and restored to bring these properties to the beauty of the past.

The area is so charming, unique, with a see that doesn’t exist in any part of Europe, that it seems so strange and incredible to us to know that a project exists to design “fish-farm” in this uncontaminated sea.

We formally express our concern, together with people who historically live in these islands. We are referring to fishermen, farmers, residents in different way in these islands. We cannot really understand how it is possible to destroy these wonderful lands especially now with this increasing development of tourism without comprehending the inevitable consequences of this initiative.

We are not opposing to fish-farm. In our countries of origin we have a lot of them, but what I seems incredible to us is that you want to carry out with this plan in such beautiful places.

Greece has hundreds of kilometers of coastlines absolutely uninhabited and not involved with tourist changes. Why don’t You think to include the fish-farm in these places?

Dear President, let us to give You an example? This decision seems to us as if in Italy there were fish-farm just in front of Capri Island or in front the French Coasts, as Cote d’Azur.

Unfortunately, there are also negative results of which we could examine closely: for istance, in Italy, in Tuscany (one of the Italian Region), in Orbetello city, all the Argentario Promontory has become a huge fish –farm for years. These fish –farm are polluting the lagoon with awful bad smells, invasion and proliferation of mosquitoes, algae.

Many of us, if this plan should carry out, could not spend more holidays in these areas, (some of them are constant visitors of these beaches for over 20 years) and could sell their properties with great regret and anger.

All we can modestly ask to You, dear President, is to think of these choices that seems to us are not projected in terms of development for our dear and beloved Greece.
